Science Week- We had fun making boats.
Our Mission during Science Week was to create a vehicle to use on our new 'windy' planet. As a class, we decided to make boats and looked at lots of different materials that we could make the boat out of, considering whether the material was waterproof or not.Most children chose a plastic bottle. We knew that the boat needed to be powered by wind so we tested different materials to decide what to make the sail from, blowing different materials with a fan to see which travelled the furthest. Plastic bags won !!!
