Year 5 had an incredible day at the Museum of Lancashire for a WW2 experience day!
The evacuees were given name tags so they could be identified.
They were taught how to spot planes from the ground.
They learnt how to play some war time games.
The warden taught the evacuees to be safe...
And even put them in an Anderson Shelter to hide from an air raid!
They did emergency first aid before the Red Cross came to help.

Skimming and Scanning
We have loved using the finger lasers in English!
They have helped us to skim read and scan for key information.
This week, we have studied the artwork of Helen Frankenthaler.
We were inspired by her paint work in particular.
So we created our own abstract art using paint.
Everyone had the same criteria but all of our work was so unique!
