Our Dewa Experience
On 14th May, Class 3 and 4 joined together to enjoy a trip to the Roman City of Chester or DEWA as the Romans called it. After a long bus journey we arrived to be greeted by a Roman Soldier who soon put us in our place and transported us back 2000 years turning us all in to a soldier, complete with shield. We then re-enacted a battle in the amphitheatre and learnt many things, including how the smaller Romans managed to over run the giant Celts.
After lunch, we were shown around the Museum by Sue. She soon put us off becoming a soldier when we found that they ate loads of cabbage!!!! and had to share a toilet with 15 other people!!!!!!!
