History Intent Statement
At St. Anne’s Catholic Primary School we aim to develop curious and thoughtful historians who have a secure understanding of the past and how it shapes our world today. Using the CUSP History Curriculum, we provide a well-sequenced, knowledge-rich programme that builds chronological understanding, historical enquiry skills, and confident use of subject-specific vocabulary.
Pupils explore key events, people, and periods from Britain and beyond, learning to ask questions, evaluate evidence, and make connections over time. Through carefully chosen content and regular opportunities to revisit and apply knowledge, our children develop a lasting understanding of history and its relevance to their lives.
