Old MacDonald had a farm! Autumn Term

This term we have been having lots of nursery rhyme fun. Have you heard us singing some at home?

This week we were visited by the Bowland School Farm. We enjoyed meeting Farmer David and Farmer Sophie. They taught us about some of the animal friends from their farm.

Back in nursery we sang Baa Baa Black Sheep and Old MacDonald. We enjoyed exploring lots of farm activities in our continuous provision.

We enjoyed playing with our farm house and made lots of fences to keep our animals safe.

We enjoyed dressing up and pretending to be animals.

We had fun cooking black and white play dough to match the colour of the sheep. We explored mixing it together and had some animal challenges to model.

The animals made lovely sandy footprints on the light box....

...and in the paint!

We love messy fun!

Shaving foam mixed with glue made lovely fluffy paint for Baa Baa Black Sheep frown

The animals needed feeding with mixtures from the chefs in our mud kitchen.

Wow, we had fun!
