National Science & Engineering Week
The theme for NSEW was 'Explore the Future' and Class 5 concentrated on growing green plants to provide food and oxygen on the New Planet. To encourage the plants to grow quickly, mini greenhouses were created and testing began as half the sample were covered.

SPACE BOOTS
Protective footwear was to be a priority for Class 5 on the New Planet. Whether it be detecting poisonous gases or approaching alien beings, the designs would show materials had been selected for their useful properties and creativity. The children worked cooperatively at every stage, including the finishing and fitting of their boots to show in assembly.
