Evacuee Day
So what was it really like as an evacuee in Britain? Today we found out about the reasons why evacuation was brought in and heard about the different experiences of the children and the adults. We travelled around school, experiencing new teachers, singing songs and finding out about items we would need, the relevance of the poppy, sending postcards home and the important role the air-raid shelters played in our daily lives.
