Maths Week 2014 has been centred around Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland story. There are a lot of mathematical themes in the book and we found out that Carroll Diagrams are actually named after the author!
A visit from Dr Martin!
Dr Martin taught us about the molecular structure of two different carbons: Graphite and Diamond.
We firstly made a 2D structure of graphite using hexagons and then we made 3D tetrahedrons of diamond.
We even made Buckyballs using pentagons and hexagons!!
