St Anne's Curriculum

Curriculum Intent Statement

At St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, the curriculum is designed to: provide breadth of knowledge, inspiring and exciting experiences; promote resilience, responsibility and respect within a happy and ambitious school community.

Every child is recognised as a unique individual made in the image of God. Our curriculum is designed in response to the needs of each and every child considering their place in this nurturing family school, local community and the world beyond. Opportunities for enjoyable, independent and collaborative learning are integrated wholly within a connected and relevant curriculum which raises curiosity and builds aspirations.

Children leave St Anne’s with the confidence and self-belief necessary to have high expectations of themselves and their future.

Curriculum Maps

As a Catholic School, we follow the Come and See scheme of work.

In Key Stage 1 the phonics scheme that we use is called Read, Write, Inc. If you need to know more about this scheme then speak to your child's teacher.

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education

At St Anne's the PSHE curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of our children. Weekly lessons are based on the PSHE Association Scheme of Work.  Please see the whole school overview for termly themes and enrichment opportunities.

Parents can request a paper copy of any curriculum and policy document from the school office.
